the girl behind the plumbob

hi, I'm Sarahxo

EA Creator Network partner, lifelong simmer, Zelda girl, forever beauty obsessive. I make the cozy corner of the internet where gaming meets aesthetic.

I've been a Sims girl since 2000 and a Zelda girl since the N64. The brand here is whatever happens when you let those two raise you, then fold in every romantic, whimsical, slightly-feral aesthetic obsession that came after.

my story

where gaming meets aesthetic.

I'm one of seven kids, and my dad is the kind of guy who would skip a luxury for himself before he'd let his kids miss out on a good thing. We didn't have much, but we had worlds — the first Sims disc, the N64 with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, every Sims 2 expansion the day it dropped. He gave us the games. The games fed my hyperfixations. I never really stopped.

Years later I came up in beauty content first — a self-taught MUA, the long tutorials, partnered with Pixi Beauty, the whole bit. I still love the industry; some of it just stopped loving me back when chronic illness made the lights and the long shoots harder to sustain. The Sims showed up at exactly the right moment. Island Living dropped, I saw the mermaids, and that was it: hooked, then hooked deeper when I found custom content.

I found my way in through SimsTwitter first, then streaming on Twitch. Community has always come before anything else for me — and when streaming slowed down, that same instinct grew a discord. I run a sims community called Social Bunny now: a place where simmers touch grass, make friends, and lose it over the game together. POTS and migraines run the calendar, not me, so posts have become the steadier pace — but the goal is still the same: make beautiful things, share them with people who get it.

The Sims has been my constant. Through every flareup, every quiet week, every season I couldn't be anywhere else — it's been the place I could still build something pretty.

the rebrand thesis

I'm playing through every Zelda game in order for the first time — properly, story and all — and it's reshaped my visual taste from the inside out. Somewhere between fairy fountains, Sims 4 fairy wings, and the warm-mossy palette I keep gravitating toward, it clicked: the plumbob is a fairy orb. The garden is Hyrule-coded. This site is where gaming meets aesthetic, and it folds in every cozy, romantic, slightly-feral thing I love.

the vibe

Romantic, whimsy-brained, deeply unserious about myself. I write the way I'd text a friend — unfiltered, over-italicized, with a generous dash of emojis for spice 🌸✨ and occasionally feral about a hair mesh. If your comfort content is cozy gaming + aesthetic spirals, welcome home. 🍃

the tea, chronologically

a very brief timeline.

2000
a disc, a kid, a portal
my dad brought home The Sims 1. seven kids, one PC, an unspoken rule about whose turn it was. it was always my turn in my head.
2020
the simstwitter era
island living dropped, mermaids happened, custom content appeared, and I went straight to twitch.

a DM from Winnie
Winnie Harlow saw my CAS makeover of her simself and reached out about featuring it in a project of her own. it felt surreal — I had to read it three times.

the email landed at 11pm. 'You got in.' tears welled up while I stared at it — the rare goal I'd set for myself, and I'd hit it. my boyfriend was the first person I told.
what I believe

three rules I won't break.

01
gaming is accessible joy
chronic migraines, endo, POTS — the Sims is something I can do on a heating pad in a dark room. cozy gaming saves my life on bad days. it can save yours too.
02
the vibe is inclusive
queer, disabled, neurodivergent, anyone who's ever been weird about their hyperfixation — you're safe here. the garden is open.
03
where gaming meets aesthetic
Sims, Zelda, cottagecore, romance, and every green growing thing — flowers in every build, plants in every shot, a garden tucked into every save. if it's pretty and a little bit chaotic, it belongs here.
the other thing I do

I also build discord.

when I'm not in CAS, I'm building custom bots and spinning up neat, safe, actually-functional Discord servers for a small group of clients. the same eye for pretty + organized that goes into a Sims build goes into a server.

work with me →small roster. by request.

the FAQ.

Actually asked. Actually answered.

Do you stream?
not on twitch anymore — that's just where it all started. these days when I go live it's usually on tiktok or youtube. multistreaming is the dream.
Are you taking PR?
yes — beauty, skincare, hair, press-on nails (huge ersa nails girl, manifesting), cozy decor, gaming gear (forever a logitech loyalist), and any cozy games that fit the vibe. head to the work with me page.
Can I send you CC to feature?
please do — if it fits the aesthetic, I'll happily play with it and credit you in any video or lookbook it ends up in.
Where do I find your videos?
I'm on all the platforms, but mainly YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. everything's linked at the bottom of every page.
What's your favorite Sims pack right now?
a tie. Adventure Awaits for the getaway system (finally!!), and Royalty & Legacy for the gorgeous world and CAS items — the whole pack is a vibe.
What's with the lowercase?
it feels nicer.
